365 Cards Day 29 Super Sketchy Sunday

I saw today's sketch and it reminded me of early 20th Century Russian avant garde artists like Kasimir Malevich, and their red/black/cream colour schemes. A quick shufty at Google images for Malevich also gave me a layout for an easter card - a skewed cross on an oval or circular background.I imagine fine art purists would seethe at the comparison, but still, that was the inspiration. I'd forgotten how much I hate window mounting, but matting feels like such a waste of paper...Materials used:
Plain black craft paper, a selection of papers from a 'fill this plastic box with paper and get the whole lot for 5GBP' show deal - with flowers & grasses laid into them.

  5. ok, first of I am TOTALLY impressed you started this blog just to follow 365! That makes me so very happy! Second of all, I am laughing about you getting crushed by your stuff. I should take a note or two and use what I have instead of buying more. You have inspired me to be better! And third... your creations are fantastic! I love that you paint your own paper and your cards are refreshing and great to look at. I read all your posts, but am only commenting on this one, but wanted you to know that I did look at all of them. So glad to have you apart of 365 and I look forward to seeing more of your creations. Happy Crafting!!

  6. Cool card! VERY cool! I look forward to seeing more and more from you.
